Job summary

Regency Park of Jefferson Nursing and Rehab in Jefferson, IA is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to provide an efficient, high-quality dining experience for residents during scheduled meals. You will assist with meal service, prepare beverages, check temperatures, keep kitchen areas clean, and follow safety standards while delivering friendly, patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or be in school.
• Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
• Possesses clear verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Removes soiled dishes from previous shifts that were leftover.
• Prepares/provides ice water according to the established procedure.
• Refills salt, pepper, and sugar shakers whenever necessary.
• Prepare milk pitchers and cold juices.
• Help serve meals.
• Fills drink glasses for meal service.
• Cleans off counters, picks up dishes and utensils and cleans tabletops.
• Returns soiled dishes and utensils to kitchen and loads dishwashing machine.
• Pick up paper and trash from floor.
• Check the supply of coffee cups at service window and replenish when needed.
• Check windows, ledges, sills, refrigerator, milk cooler, ice machine, coffee urn and tables for cleanliness.
