Job summary

River Crossing Rehab & Healthcare is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our Dietary team and help maintain smooth running of the kitchen and dining room.

Open shifts include day shift Sunday - Thursday and part-time night shift. The Dietary Aide helps prepare dining rooms, provide meal service, and maintain cleanliness and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents.
• Ability to read.

Responsibilities

• Delivers meals to resident rooms at designated times and sets up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
• Maintain a clean dining areas & dishes using appropriate procedures, discard leftovers & empty trash.
• Understand and follow color coding and abbreviations of tray cards and therapeutic menus.
• Assists the Cook and Dietary Manager as directed.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Helps maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Attend all mandatory in-services, educational trainings and department meetings.
