Description:

The Dietary Aide follows the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and adheres to state guidelines to ensure that food is properly prepared and served to residents. After meals, the aide is responsible for cleaning up the dining hall and dishes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation and cooking, following universal precautions and state/federal regulations
• Prepare and serve beverages
• Set up and pass trays for meal service
• Stock the snack cart
• Buss tables and trays
• Clean the kitchen work area
• Wash dishes
• Follow proper handwashing guidelines
• Perform additional special projects or tasks as assigned by the CDM or the Executive Director

Qualifications:

Educational/Training Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Licensing Requirements:

• Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate

Experience Requirements:

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen is preferred
