Primary Responsibilities

The Dietary Aide follows the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and adheres to state guidelines to ensure proper food preparation, serving to residents, and post-meal cleanup of the dining hall and dishes.

Essential Functions

• Assist with food preparation and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulations
• Prepare and serve beverages
• Set up and pass trays for meal service
• Stock the snack cart
• Buss tables and trays
• Clean the kitchen work area
• Wash dishes
• Follow proper handwashing guidelines
• Perform additional special projects or tasks as assigned by the CDM or the Executive Director

Qualifications

Educational/Training Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Licensing Requirements

• Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate

Experience Requirements

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen is preferred
