Description:

The Dietary Aide follows the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and adheres to state guidelines to ensure proper food preparation, serving to residents, and cleanup of the dining hall and dishes after meals.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation and cooking, following universal precautions and state/federal regulations
• Prepare and serve beverages
• Set up and pass trays for meal service
• Stock snack cart
• Buss tables and trays
• Clean the kitchen work area
• Dishwashing
• Follow proper handwashing guidelines
• Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned by the CDM or Executive Director

Qualifications:

Educational/Training Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Licensing Requirements:

• Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate

Experience Requirements:

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen is preferred
