Job summary

Williamstown Commons is seeking a dedicated kitchen aide to support daily food service in a hospital setting. You will assist in meal preparation, portion control, and delivery of trays to patient areas, while maintaining clean, safe work areas.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, waste disposal, and helping in special meal preparation as needed. GED or higher and a high school diploma are preferred, with on-site work ensuring patient meal delivery accuracy.

Qualifications

• GED or higher required or equivalent.
• High school diploma or better preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals in a timely manner.
• Serve food according to portion control procedures.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties.
• Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Carry soiled utensils to wash area.
• Return clean utensils to storage areas.
• Wash and clean dishes/utensils as directed.
• Dispose of waste according to policies.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room as instructed.
• Assist cook in meal preparation.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
• Deliver food carts or trays to designated areas.
• Remove trays from carts and dining rooms for dishwashing.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
• Maintain clean and properly arranged food storage areas.
• Assist in special meals preparation for parties.
