Job summary

Medina Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a part-time dishwasher to assist with meal service in our skilled nursing facility. The role includes tray assembly, kitchen sanitation, and adherence to food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include delivering trays, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the Dietary Manager and staff. Previous food service experience is helpful but not required; a positive attitude and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or hospitality preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (or willingness to learn).

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and food portioning as directed.
• Deliver and collect meal trays in a timely and courteous manner.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using proper sanitation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dish room, and dining areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.
• Properly store food and supplies according to facility policies.
• Dispose of trash and maintain waste areas in a sanitary condition.
• Assist in receiving, stocking, and rotating food and supplies.
• Interact respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Report any concerns regarding food quality, safety, or resident needs to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or Supervisor.
