Job Description

The primary responsibility of a Dietary Aide is to provide assistance in all food functions for our residents as directed by the Dietary Manager.

Responsibilities

• Set up, deliver, and serve food as directed.
• Wash dishes.
• Serve meals that are palatable, appetizing, and in accordance with portion control procedures.
• Assist in meal preparation and check diet trays before distribution.
• Prepare kitchen, food, and supplies for the next meal.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist with daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.

Qualifications

• Experience in dietary aid or food handling preferred but not required.
• Ability to create a warm, patient, enthusiastic, and cheerful environment.
• Must obtain Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment.
