Job summary

Lake Health District in Oregon Lakeview is seeking a PRN Dietary Aide to support daily operation of the dietary department, including food dishing, beverage prep, tray pre-setting, and cleaning.

Under supervision, you will follow instructions, read and communicate in English, and weigh/measure ingredients as needed. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and obtain a state food handler permit.

Training is provided; prior food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have State of Oregon Food Handler's Permit.
• Previous food service experience preferred; training available.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and serve meals in the dietary department.
• Prepare standard cold beverages.
• Pre-set trays and maintain cleanliness.

Position Summary

Under the department supervisor's and cook's supervision, performs designated work-related responsibilities relative to the day-to-day operation of the Dietary department as with dishing food, standard cold beverage preparation, pre-setting trays, and cleaning.

Requirements

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Must have State of Oregon Food Handler's Permit.

Experience

Previous experience preferred; training available.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Capable of performing duties as assigned. Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Good verbal communication skills. Must exercise good judgment. Must be able to weigh and measure accurately.

Employment Requirements

Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.

Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period.

Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer.
