Los Altos Post Acute in Los Altos, CA is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal preparation, processing and delivery to patients in a fast-paced healthcare kitchen. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and growth within culinary services.

You will assist with meal prep according to dietary needs, help serve meals, maintain sanitation, and support the kitchen team to ensure timely, appetizing service for patients.

Qualifications

• Entry-level opportunity in culinary services with on-the-job training.

• Ability to follow dietary guidelines and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as requested.
• Help with meal preparation in accordance with patient dietary needs.
• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays.
• Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up.
• Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, etc.).
• Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc.
• Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areasCollect and carry out garbage.
• Dispose of food and waste per facility regulations.
• Prep food supplies for the next meal.
• Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times.
