Job summary

Hearthside Nursing Home in State College, PA is seeking dedicated Dietary Aides and Cooks for multiple shifts. You will assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining areas under supervision of the Dietary Manager or Cook.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements.
• Assist with shift coverage for call-outs, vacations, or staffing needs.
• Ensure meals meet state and federal guidelines for skilled nursing facilities.
• Follow therapeutic and modified diets, including low-sodium, diabetic, and pureed diets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
• Monitor food temperatures, storage procedures, and sanitation practices.
• Work collaboratively with the dietary team to support smooth daily operations.
