Job summary

The Wilshire Skilled Nursing & Therapy in Oklahoma City is seeking an entry-level Dietary Aide to join our team. You will help prepare and serve meals, maintain sanitation, and support the cooks and residents with a positive, reliable attitude.

Qualifications

  • Must have or obtain Food Handler's Card (We can help with this!)
  • Training is provided.
  • Experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up the dining room and serve residents
  • Assist the cook team in the preparation and service of meals and beverages
  • Maintain strict sanitation and quality standards
  • Store food safely and hygienically while preventing spoilage
  • Accurately record meals served and monitor temperatures
  • Clean dining and prep areas following mandated procedures
  • Wash dishes and utensils according to required standards
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

We know that mealtime for residents is an important, exciting part of their day. A Cook/Dietary Aide's primary responsibility is to be responsible, reliable, attentive, and positive towards our residents as an aide, as well as cook, prepare, and serve meals for our residents.


Available Shift: Weekdays


Responsibilities and Purpose


  • Set up the dining room and serve residents

  • Assist the cook team in the preparation and service of meals and beverages using specific procedures

  • Maintain strict sanitation and quality standards

  • Store food safely and hygienically while working to prevent food spoilage

  • Accurately record meals served and monitor food temperatures

  • Clean assigned dining and food preparation areas using mandated procedures and following set schedules

  • Wash dishes and utensils according to the required standards of practice

  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Desired Experience and Education


  • Must have or obtain Food Handler's Card(We can help with this!)

  • Training is provided.

  • Experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
