Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living is hiring a Dietary Aide at Arete at Desert Sage Retirement in Bend, Oregon. The role supports residents by preparing and serving meals per dietary needs, with emphasis on sanitation, safety, and teamwork.

Schedule includes full-time hours with 7am-3pm or 11am-7pm shifts; status is Full-Time. You will work under the Culinary Services Manager or Director, participating in orientation, training, and daily duties to ensure quality dining

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene on the job.
• Interpersonal skills to work with staff across departments.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• Active CPR/BLS certification must be maintained.
• Current Food Handler card issued by local Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve assigned food on trays at proper time, attractively, and at correct temperature. May help with food preparation.
• Examines completed tray for accuracy and places on the cart.
• Fills orders for between-meal nourishments as assigned.
• Assist in daily and scheduled cleaning duties, including work areas, Equipment, dishware, and floors.
• Perform all daily tasks in accordance with established facility and state/federal regulations for precautions, sanitary, safety, and infection control policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Attend and participate in orientation, training, and in-service educational activities.
• Assist with inventorying and storing incoming foods, supplies, and equipment.
• Other duties assigned appropriate to the position.
