Job summary

The Owen Valley Rehabilitation & Nursing Dietary Aide assists in daily food service, preparing and serving meals according to planned menus and special diets. You will help provide bedside snacks and ensure sanitary food handling and safety standards are followed.

Responsibilities include delivering meals, cleaning as required, and supporting infection control procedures in a busy dining and kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas.
• Willingness to follow infection control procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus and standardized recipes.
• Prepare & serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks and substitutions as needed.
• Ensure food is prepared in compliance with sanitary regulations.
• Maintain department cleanliness and ensure equipment/supplies are available.
• Follow infection control precautions during daily tasks.
• Deliver snacks, meals, and food carts to designated areas and serve in dining room.
