Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities in Council Bluffs, Iowa, is hiring a Dietary Aide to create an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests. You will take food and drink orders, seat and assist residents, deliver meals, and remove dinnerware promptly.

The role may include light cleaning and food preparation. Sanitation certification is required or obtainable within 30 days. Weekend and holiday rotation is expected; a positive attitude, reliability, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Sanitation Certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with serving in a restaurant setting preferred.
• Ability to recognize residents’ needs and respond with urgency and compassion.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have a solid work ethic, positive attitude, and be a good team player.
• Able and willing to work weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Take food and drink orders.
• Seat and assist residents when needed.
• Deliver meals and remove dinnerware from the table in a timely manner.
• May assist with general cleaning, dishes, and food preparation.
