Qualifications

• Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, turn, stoop and stretch.
• Ability to unload and stock groceries on shelves of various heights and to lift large items up to 50lbs.
• Ability to write and record data, to read and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in cases of emergency.
• Ability to communicate with residents, staff, family members in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• The Dietary Aide assists in preparation of meals and snacks as well as clean up of dining areas. Assists with receiving, rotating and storing of supplies and food.
• The Dietary Aide complies with infection control, safety and sanitation functions of the facility. Ensures that food storage and work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner, and that equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
• The Dietary Aide handles food in accordance with sanitary regulations, and reports immediately all violations of safety or sanitation rules to supervisor.
