Job summary

Yellowstone River Nursing and Rehabilitation in Billings, MT, is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team. You will assist in daily dietary functions, help prepare meals, serve residents, and maintain safe, clean dining areas in alignment with our policies.

Requirements include health screening, drug test, background check, a current Food Handler’s Permit, and at least 1 year of experience in a dietary role; prior Skilled Nursing Facility experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must complete orientation required by company policy.
• Must complete health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
• Must complete mandatory drug test upon hire.
• Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
• Must become familiar with and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
• Must show, within three (3) days of hire, satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
• Must have a current Food Handler’s Permit.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Dietary Aide or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, life safety and infection control policies during daily tasks.
• Prepare food and assist cook, handle and store food properly, know diets and menus.
• Serve meals, clear dining room, wipe tables.
• Wash dishes and clean work area.
• Ensure tray preparation aligns with menus and resident preferences.
