Job summary

Accolade Healthcare is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our culinary team. You will serve meals to residents, visitors, and staff with friendly, professional service and assist with food prep, tray delivery, and kitchen cleanup.

This role requires excellent customer service, reliability, and teamwork. Weekend and holiday rotations are required; Food Handlers Certification is expected or in progress. Benefits include health, retirement, paid leave, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Reliability is required.
• Must be able to work a weekend and holiday rotation.
• Food Handlers Certification is/will be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tray line with napkins, wrapped silverware, trays, lids for plates, placemats.
• Complete food prep for tray line and cooler.
• Puree food as needed.
• Place food and beverage items on trays according to meal requests or physicians' orders.
• Stock carts with ice water and iced tea for lunch.
• Load and deliver cards to various areas of the Facility, including individual resident rooms and group dining rooms.
• Complete food prep for the next day.
• Serve lunch on tray line.
• Check dates and rotate stock as required by facility policy.
• Clear tables and sanitize tables and tabletop items.
• Empty carts and take out trash.
• Wipe inside and outside and fronts of carts with sanitizer solution.
• Clean coffee pots and other kitchen equipment.
• Clean up kitchen and wash dishes.
• Prepare kitchen and dining rooms for the next meal.
• Answer kitchen phone as needed.
• Perform other related work as required or requested.
