Key Responsibilities include :

1. Prepare and serve food for staff, patients, and visitors at our facility.
2. Work under the dietary manager and assist patients.
3. Follow state and federal regulations concerning food safety, tidy up dining areas, receive and stock supplies or food, follow safety guidelines when working, and avoid food contamination by storing it properly.

Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED; one to three months of previous experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience as a dietary aide
• Customer service experience is appreciated
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and sanitation
• Ability to prepare meals according to instructions
• Skilled in operating cooking appliances, bakeware, and cookware
• Good communication skills and friendly personality
• Physical stamina and good condition
• Food certification is a plus
• Familiarity with clinical diets
• Experience in food service or culinary work in healthcare is a bonus
• Teamwork ability
• Ability to read and understand recipes
• Ability to stand long periods and lift heavy weights
• Willingness to participate in training and continuing education
• Become ServSafe “Food Handler” certified within days of hire
