Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA is seeking a Dietary Aide Assistant. This entry-level role involves answering phones, assisting patients and guests with meal orders, and supporting kitchen operations with tray assembly and cleanup.

  • Two years food service experience in an acute care facility preferred.
  • DSS certification or Diet Tech certification preferred.

  • Prefer strong interest in nutrition or nutrition-related field and/or some college coursework in nutrition completed.

  • Ability to understand modified diet restrictions, operate food service equipment, operate computer hardware and software systems and perform simple math.
  • Be knowledgeable of daily kitchen operations, safe food handling techniques and sanitary food preparation skills.
  • Ability to instruct and supervise the work performance of others.

Dietary Aide Assistant

Entry level position. Duties to include answering phones (high volume), assisting patients, guests and customers place meal orders via computer order entry program, Must be familiar with computers, multi-tasking and exceptional customer service. Other duties to include assisting in the kitchen areas with meal tray assembly, prep areas and daily cleaning assignments.
