Job summary

MiraVista in Holyoke, MA is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide for 20 hours per week from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, including every other weekend. You will assist the Food Service Director with dietary functions, work with the facility's dietitian, and ensure meals are prepared and served in a timely, hygienic manner.

Responsibilities include assisting in meal preparation, following ServSafe procedures, cleaning duties, and delivering meals to designated units.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: High school education preferred.
• Basic reading and writing skills preferred.
• Job Knowledge/Experience: Previous food service experience preferred.
• Language/Writing/Communication: Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals in a timely manner.
• Work with the dietitian and implement changes as required.
• Follow ServSafe hygiene procedures at all times.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties and stocking units.
• Prepare snacks, sandwiches, tossed salads, fruit salad.
• Deliver/serve food to designated units and stock pantries.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning and ensure utensils are available.

As a Dietary Aide at MiraVista in Holyoke, MA you will assist the Food Service Director with dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.

• Work with the facility's dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
• Follow ServSafe hygiene procedures at all times.
• Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Clean work areas and refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Assist cook in preparing snacks, sandwiches, tossed salads, fruit salad.
• Deliver/serve food to designated units. Stock unit pantries, nursing stations, water and fruit area.
• Perform dish washing/cleaning procedures. Assure that utensil, etc., are readily available for next meal.

Successful Dietary Aide candidates will have the following:

• Education/Training: High school education preferred.
• Basic reading and writing skills preferred.
• Job Knowledge/Experience
• Preferred: Previous experience in food service
• Preferred: Language/Writing/Communication
