Job summary

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center in Holyoke, MA is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with dietary functions under the Food Service Director, in accordance with policies and procedures.

You will work with the facility's dietitian, help serve meals, clean areas, and support kitchen operations. The role requires basic reading/writing and preferred experience in food service. Includes benefits and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred.
• Basic reading and writing skills preferred.
• Preferred: Previous experience in food service.
• Preferred: Language/Writing/Communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food Service Director with dietary functions as directed.
• Work with the facility's dietitian and implement recommended changes.
• Assist in serving meals on a timely basis.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties.
• Clean work areas and refrigerators/freezers.
• Assist cook in preparing snacks, sandwiches, tossed salads, fruit salad.
• Deliver/serve food to designated units and stock pantries.
• Perform dish washing and cleaning procedures.

Full Time 32 Hours 6:00AM - 2:30PM including every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

As a Dietary Aide at MiraVista in Holyoke, MA you will assist the Food Service Director with dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.

• Work with the facility's dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
• Follow ServSafe hygiene procedures at all times.
• Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Clean work areas and refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Assist cook in preparing snacks, sandwiches, tossed salads, fruit salad.
• Deliver/serve food to designated units. Stock unit pantries, nursing stations, water and fruit area.
• Perform dish washing/cleaning procedures. Assure that utensil, etc., are readily available for next meal.

Successful Dietary Aide candidates will have the following:

• Education/Training: High school education preferred.
• Basic reading and writing skills preferred.
• Job Knowledge/Experience
• Preferred: Previous experience in food service
• Preferred: Language/Writing/Communication
