Job summary

Wilber Care Center seeks a friendly dietary aide to support residents with meals in the evenings. You will help set up dining areas, prepare and deliver meals, stock supplies, and assist with meal documentation while working closely with the dietary team and nursing staff.

Ideal candidates enjoy serving others, maintain high quality standards, and can work a weekend/holiday rotation. A minimum age of 16 and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must meet health requirements including a medical and physical examination.
• Ability to work as a team and collaborate with staff.
• Must pass applicable background checks and rotate weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals and complete prep work under supervision.
• Deliver dishes and trays as needed.
• Discard leftovers and bus dining areas.
• Clean serving/eating areas and wash dishes.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Assist with documenting resident meal intake.
• Collaborate with dietary team and nursing during shifts.
• Adhere to safety policies for personal and resident safety.
• Follow facility policies and procedures.
• Treat residents with respect and recognize their value.

Apart from resident care, one of the top indicators for resident satisfaction is the food and meals served, and as a result, our dietary team/dietary assistant/ dietary aides ensure that we are top notch! Our mission extends to our employees, as we know that HAPPY employees provide excellent services. We are currently looking for a dietary professional to join our team! Hours are from 4:30 to 8 pm and 5 to 8:30 pm.

Responsibilities Include:

• Setting up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals and complete prep work under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook.
• Deliver dishes and trays as needed.
• Discard leftovers and bus dining areas.
• Clean serving and eating areas, wash dishes, cooking vessels, and other items as assigned.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Assist with written documentation of resident's meal intake.
• Work with the dietary team and nursing department on each shift.
• Strictly adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure personal safety and safety of others.
• Follow the policies and procedures of the facility in accordance with regulations.

Requirements:

• A great attitude, high standards for quality, customer-oriented, as well as a desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
