Job summary

Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a dietary aide to perform meal service and food preparation duties in a Long Term Care setting in New York. You will assist the cook, ensure meals are served on time and maintain cleanliness per regulations.

This role offers a new hire rate of $16.25/hour with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and stability within the facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in dietary service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Provide assistance to the cook in the preparation and service of meals.
• Follow Federal, State and local long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Set dining rooms for resident service.
• Serve meals.
• Stock pantry and cupboards with dishware and food items as per par levels.
• Attend in-service educational programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Dietary Supervisor.
