Job summary

Complete Care at Fox Hill is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide in Vernon, CT. The role involves assisting the dietary team, preparing meals under supervision, and delivering meals to units at scheduled times. Position requires a positive, energetic individual able to work independently or with a team.

Shifts include 6:30am-2:30pm and 3:30pm-7:30pm with every other weekend required. Long-term care experience is preferred and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a dietary aide in a nursing home or Rehabilitation facility preferred.
• Positive, creative, energetic individual.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.

Responsibilities

• Assist dietary manager with necessary tasks to meet residents' dietary needs.
• Prepare meals under supervision of cook/Food Service Director.
• Deliver food trays to units at designated times.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage.
• Clean food stations, wash dishes, and sanitize equipment.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Follow facility policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.

Dietary Aide Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a dietary aide in a nursing home or rehabilitation facility

Dietary Aide Responsibilities

• Assists the dietary manager and department with necessary tasks to ensure residents’ dietary needs are met
• Prepare meals under the supervision of a cook and/or Food Service Director
• Deliver food trucks to units at designated times
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory
• Adheres to the facilities policies and procedures regarding the Compliance Program
• Follow all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to the position
