Job summary

HHS, LLC is seeking a Diet Technician at Stonewall Memorial Hospital in the Internal TSOL unit to support nutritional care.

You will assist a registered dietitian with screenings, meal plans, and patient care plans, while delivering friendly service and following safety policies. Full-time and part-time shifts available, with day, evening, and night options.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Registered Dietetic Tech (RDT) or licensed dietitian/dietitian tech.
• Ability to communicate in English and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support a registered dietitian to ensure patients receive nutritional care.
• Perform nutritional screenings and assessments, manage diet preferences and meal plans.
• Maintain patient care plans and ensure meals meet residents’ needs.
• Complete nutritional assessments to create care plans with goals.
• Document assessments and interventions in the medical record.
• Oversee patient services and production staff and monitor meal service.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and assist department operations.

Responsibilities

Diet Technician

• Wage: $13.30/hour

• Full-time and part-time positions available

• Day/Evening/Night shifts available

• Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate team players to join our culinary team!

Support a registered dietitian to ensure patients receive excellent nutritional care. Perform nutritional screenings and assessments, manage diet preferences and meal plans, and maintain patient care plans. Provide excellent customer service to ensure every patient receives quality care.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments for patients to create care plans with nutritional goals

• Document assessment of patients with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record

• Provide oversight for patient services and production staff and monitor meal service

• Ensure patient preferences are recorded on meal tickets and that all meals and snacks adhere to the resident’s needs

• Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures

• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or an accredited diet technician program

• Must be a Registered Dietetic Tech (RDT) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and/or a licensed dietitian (LD) or dietitian tech (LDT)

• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform

• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment

• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, and bending and lifting up to 40 pounds

• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
