The Dietary Aide is responsible for tasks related to food preparation and service, cleaning food service areas, equipment, and utensils.

• Safe and sanitary handling of food, dishes, and equipment
• Prepare resident trays according to instructions/order
• Assist in stocking food storage areas and refrigerators
• Deliver food, nourishments, and supplies
• Contribute to a respectful, team-oriented environment
• Participate in quality improvement activities (QAPI)
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive Protected Health Information (HIPAA)
• Demonstrate organizational and critical thinking skills
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions
• Create a resident-centered environment
• React quickly and decisively in emergency situations
