Job Description

The Food Service Worker will assist the manager with food/meal preparation, maintain cash receipts and meal records, and assist in completing daily reports. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
• Prepare daily reports verifying transactions
• Understand what is included in a meal
• Ensure proper storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
• Serve food according to meal schedules and department policies and procedures
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
• Prepare a variety of food items and beverages timely
• Add garnishments to ensure customer satisfaction and eye appeal
• Coordinate and assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage
• Follow the uniform policy
• Connect daily with the Manager to understand and prepare the menu for the day
• Supervise food temperature requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
• Clean and sanitize counters, steam tables, and other equipment
• Follow procedures for cleanliness to ensure a safe environment, including sweeping, mopping, and ware washing
• Maintain garbage collection and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary condition
• Perform other duties as assigned, including other kitchen areas
• This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
