Job summary

Aurora Valley Care Skilled Nursing & Rehab (a Caldera Care facility) is seeking a part-time or full-time Food Service Aide to support meal preparation and tray delivery for residents. Weekend availability is required.

A strong commitment to food safety and sanitation is essential. Responsibilities include assembling appetizing trays, ensuring proper utensils and dietary information, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to infection control policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English.
• Preferred: Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility.

Responsibilities

• Aid the cook in preparing trays that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Provide appropriate equipment and utensils with resident meals.
• Review tray cards to ensure dietary information matches served food.
• Follow posted cleaning schedule using sanitation and cleaning methods.
• Follow infection control and safety measures.
• Other duties as assigned by Cook or Dietary Manager.

Pay Range: $17.13-$19 DOE

Part Time & Full Time: Must be available weekends

Responsibilities:

• Aid the cook in preparing trays that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Ensure that appropriate equipment and utensils are provided with the resident's meal tray
• Review of tray card to assure that current food information is consistent with food served
• Follow posted cleaning schedule utilizing proper sanitation and cleaning methods
• Follow infection control and safety measures
• Other duties as assigned by Cook or Dietary Manager

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Food Handlers Card
