Healthwin Health and Rehabilitation in South Bend, IN is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support our resident-centered dining program. This part-time role involves setting up dining areas, assisting with meal service, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards to ensure a positive resident experience.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (food service certification a plus), good communication, and the stamina for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior dietary aide experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with cookware and appliances.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Physically able to perform fast-paced tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent; food service certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables and dining areas with precision, emphasizing cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under the guidance of a dietary manager or cook, ensuring adherence to instructions and safety standards.
• Deliver dishes and trays promptly to designated rooms and times.
• Assist in post-meal cleanup by clearing dining areas and collecting plates and utensils.
• Maintain hygiene by disposing of leftovers and taking out garbage.
• Keep food stations clean, wash dishes, cooking equipment, and silverware.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and maintain inventory.
• Contribute to the upkeep of kitchen equipment and appliances.
