Job summary

Woodland Manor Nursing and Rehab in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our skilled nursing facility. This role supports the dietary team by assisting with food preparation, meal service, and sanitation to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

The position is part-time with responsibilities including serving meals, assisting cooks, and maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen to ensure resident satisfaction and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous dietary or food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal service in a timely and courteous manner.
• Support the cook with meal preparation as directed.
• Serve food trays in dining rooms and resident areas and transport trays to the dishwashing area.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, meat blocks, refrigerators, freezers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Follow all dietary policies, procedures, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with stocking and organizing kitchen supplies.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Work cooperatively with dietary staff to provide quality service to residents.
