Avalon Care Center Scappoose is seeking a dependable, enthusiastic, and dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team. We offer competitive wages ranging from $15.00 to $17.50 per hour, with on-call openings available. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits such as 401K, medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA, life insurance, disability coverage, and additional perks.

Responsibilities include:

• Washing and sanitizing dishes
• Food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
• Checking and ensuring proper heating of food items and equipment
• Ensuring accurate serving portions and proper presentation of food trays
• Using appropriate utensils and monitoring food temperatures, logging all data
• Garnishing and neatly arranging trays, ensuring cleanliness and dryness of utensils and dishes
• Recording excess or shortages after tray line and discussing with supervisors

Qualifications:

• Food Handler’s permit or ServeSafe certification as per state requirements
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
• Positive interaction with residents, families, and team members
• Passing drug screening, background check, and reference verification
