Job summary

Windsor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salem, Oregon, is currently looking for a Dietary Aide to join our dietary department. We are a team-oriented facility that takes pride in culinary excellence and patient care.

You will read production orders, prepare and serve meals, maintain cleanliness, and support a safe dining environment. The position requires a Food Handlers' Permit and a commitment to high sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Required: Food Handlers' Permit.
• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read production orders on tray cards and prepare items accordingly.
• Place utensils, napkins, straws, condiments, and tray cards on trays.
• Perform food preparation tasks as assigned and serve meals on time.
• Push carts to halls or kitchen and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Washes dishes and ensures overall orderly, sanitary dining areas.

Essential Functions:

• Read production orders on tray cards
• Places items, such as eating utensils, napkins, straws, condiments, and tray cards on trays.
• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve assigned food on trays at proper time, attractively, and at correct temperature. May help with food preparation.
• Pushes carts to halls or kitchen.
• Washes dishes and cleans work area
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
