Job Description

The Food Service Worker will assist the manager with food/meal preparation, maintain cash receipts and meal records, and assist in completing daily reports. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
• Prepare daily reports verifying transactions
• Understand what is included in a meal
• Ensure food storage is accurate and sanitary
• Serve food according to schedules and policies
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
• Prepare a variety of food items and beverages timely
• Add garnishments for customer satisfaction and eye appeal
• Assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen equipment
• Follow food safety regulations for sanitation and storage
• Adhere to uniform policy
• Coordinate with the Manager for daily menu preparation
• Supervise food temperature requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Sanitize counters, steam tables, and equipment
• Follow procedures for cleanliness and safety, including sweeping, mopping, and ware washing
• Maintain garbage and kitchen floor areas in a sanitary manner
• Perform other duties as assigned in the kitchen
• This role may involve physical tasks like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
