Responsibilities

• Operate the commercial dishwasher and keep dishes clean and ready for service.

If you enjoy working around people, staying busy, and being part of a team that helps create a positive dining experience for our residents, we'd love to hear from you.Our Dietary Aides play an important role in making sure our residents receive clean, timely, and enjoyable meals in a safe and welcoming environment.What You'll DoAs a Dietary Aide, you will work closely with our cooks and dietary team to keep meal service running smoothly. Responsibilities include:Assist with preparing and serving meals to our residentsSet up and deliver meal traysPrepare snacks and nourishmentsAssist with dining room and kitchen meal serviceCollect and break down returned meal traysOperate the commercial dishwasher and keep dishes clean and ready for serviceMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining environmentClean work surfaces, refrigerators, floors, and other kitchen areasSweep and mop as neededTake out trash and maintain appropriate sanitationReceive and put away groceries in a safe and organized mannerMonitor and document required dishwasher temperatures and chlorine levelsFollow food safety and sanitation proceduresWork closely with the Cook and Dietary Supervisor to meet the needs of the shiftWork cooperatively with team members throughout the communityHelp create a positive dining experience for our residentsWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is dependable, positive, and willing to jump in wherever needed.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious food service, restaurant, healthcare, or senior living experience is a plus, but not requiredAbility to learn food service routines quicklyAbility to read and follow recipes and written instructionsBasic math skillsStrong communication and teamwork skillsPositive attitude and willingness to work as part of a teamMust obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler's CertificateReliable attendance and punctualityPhysical RequirementsThis is an active position.
