The Dietary Aide performs a variety of food service functions, maintaining clean and sanitary conditions of food service areas, facilities, and equipment. Assists in food preparation and plates food according to dietary guidelines for regular and special diets. Join an innovative company where hard work pays off and advancement is possible. Required Experience for Dietary Aide:

• High School diploma (or equivalent) or technical school
• Ability to work independently and manage meal service for 20 residents
• Some food service experience required
• Great communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Handle, transport, and plate food for residents, guests, and staff
• Plate food according to the planned menu using standard recipes
• Follow portion guidelines and garnishing instructions
• Assist kitchen staff and perform duties as assigned
• Ensure sufficient food prep and communicate shortages
• Maintain food quality, temperature, and freshness
• Keep logs and documentation for meal services
• Stock and clean work stations
• Follow food rotation and sanitation policies
• Operate kitchen equipment safely
• Report equipment issues
• Deliver and retrieve food carts
• Set up service lines and prepare for meal service
• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes and utensils
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas
• Perform scheduled cleaning duties
• Inventory food and supplies
• Prepare snacks and beverages
• Maintain a positive team attitude and promote good relations with residents and families
• Ensure resident rights and a safe, dignified environment
• Follow safety protocols and work practices
• Inspect and maintain kitchen appliances
• Present a professional appearance

Working Conditions:

Stand for long periods, communicate effectively, lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally travel between locations. The environment is moderate noise, requiring interaction with others and physical activity.
