Sun Harbor is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to join our Food Services team in Port Charlotte, FL. This part-time role supports resident nutrition and ensures a clean, welcoming dining experience, requiring detail orientation and compassionate service in a healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate will work days, evenings or weekends, follow sanitation policies, assist with meal service, and help keep food service areas organized and safe for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Strong attention to sanitation, safety, and detail.
• Ability to properly care for supplies, equipment, and work areas.
• Willingness to learn and incorporate new methods and best practices in food service.

Responsibilities

• Report to work at assigned time, in proper uniform, and ready for duty
• Handle food, supplies, and equipment in compliance with sanitation policies and procedures
• Follow all safety regulations when operating dietary equipment
• Deliver food carts, meal trays, and supplies to resident rooms and dining areas
• Serve meals in dining rooms in a courteous and professional manner
• Prepare and distribute snacks as directed
• Assist with daily and scheduled cleaning duties per facility policies
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of food service areas
• Report discrepancies or concerns to the department supervisor
• Provide residents and families with high-quality service in a caring and compassionate environment
• Perform related duties as assigned
• Rotate tasks as needed based on daily operational needs, as directed by the Food Services Director

Preferred Qualifications
