Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $15.00/hr

The Role

The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus.

Responsibilities

1. Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
2. Serves meals in the health center.
3. Sets up tables in the health center dining room and breaks down after meals.
4. Transports hot and cold foods to and from the health center.
5. Transports all required nonfood items to and from the health center.
6. Maintains station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary condition.
7. Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
8. Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
9. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

1. Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred.
2. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
3. Team player attitude.
4. Warm, friendly, and caring demeanor.
5. Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
6. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
