Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Retirement Services is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in serving meals to residents and contribute to a caring dining experience. The role emphasizes compassion, dignity, and teamwork in daily kitchen operations.

Qualifications

  • High school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Applicants must be able to work day and evening shifts as well as be available to work weekends.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or healthcare facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists cooks with preparation of meals following federal, state and local regulations.
  • Serves residents meals in a timely fashion.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Maintains kitchen standards and expectations.
  • Delivers and picks-up tray carts to dining area for meal service.
  • Performs dish-washing procedures, including pots and pans and all equipment, operates commercial dish machine.
  • Sets up for next meal.
  • Demonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner, manages times efficiently and effectively, promotes a team approach.
