The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus.
Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
Serve meals in the Health Center.
Set up and clear tables in the Health Center dining room.
Transport hot and cold foods to and from the Health Center.
Transport necessary food service supplies and non-food items to and from the Health Center.
Maintain equipment, workstations, and dining areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
Maintains standards for personal appearance and cleanliness.
Maintains safe and sanitary conditions.
Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Must be 16 years or older.
Light to moderate physical effort 90% of the time. Must be able to stand and walk 90% of the work day; ability to stoop, bend and stretch frequently; lifting weight requirement will not be more than 50 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to see, hear, and speak.
All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a criminal background check, drug test, tuberculosis skin test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
