Job summary

WeCare Centers at Heritage Care Center in Squirrel Hill, PA is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in the kitchen before, during, and after meals for residents.

You will maintain kitchen areas, help prepare meals, serve with proper temperature, and follow sanitary regulations. The role requires communication, reading/writing, and at least one year of food service experience.

• Ability to meet all health compliance and competency requirements
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Minimum 1 year food service experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.
• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as the facility standards and procedures.
• Serves meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature on a timely basis.
• Serves food from steam table and or transport food delivery carts to the resident areas.
• Honors residents food likes, dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.
• Ensures food supplies for the next day production is available.
• Assists cooks in preparing meals as directed.
• Uses proper hand-washing techniques and safety procedures.
