Job summary

Meadowview Behavioral Hospital in Peoria, IL is seeking a Dietary Aide to support patient meals in a clean, safe, welcoming environment. You will assist with meal preparation, service, and kitchen operations to deliver high-quality dining for patients and staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least 1 year in food service. Shifts include day, evening, and weekend options with pay from $15 to $20 per hour, plus benefits such as health, vision, dental, life insurance, 401(k), PTO

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in food service; basic knowledge of food service sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and assembling patient meal trays according to daily counts and menu requirements.
• Set up and maintain salad and dessert bars with a neat, organized, and appealing presentation.
• Prepare vegetables, salads, and other food items following portion control guidelines.
• Ensure an adequate supply of beverages and meal-related items throughout service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining room, kitchen, and food preparation areas.
• Operate the dish machine and keep the dish room clean and organized.
• Assist the cook and kitchen team during meal service.
• Stock kitchen supplies and deliver items to units as required.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and infection control guidelines.

Compensation

We are seeking full-time and part-time Dietary Aides. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on employment status, experience, qualifications, and skill level. Join us as our Dietary Aide!
