Job summary

Methodist Hospital is hiring a Dietary Aide, Union, to join our team. The role provides patient and cafeteria food service, dish room duties, and occasional catering tasks while delivering exceptional customer service to patients and families. Flexible start times and weekend rotation are part of the schedule.

FTE 0.3, 12 hours per week, with days and evenings as needed; Servsafe certification is a plus and benefits may be available upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Experience in food service preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken word.
• Ability to perform simple cash transactions; ServSafe certification is a plus.

Position Summary:

The Dietary Aide performs a variety of patient food service, cafeteria food service and dish room duties, as well as catered tasks and other related tasks. The Dietary Aide, Union is expected to provide exceptional customer service.

Work Schedule:

FTE 0.3, 12 hours per week, variable start times, days, evenings, every other weekend.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school education or equivalent preferred, but is not required, food service experience preferred. Must be able to communicate effective via the written and spoken word. Must be able to perform simple cash transactions. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. Servsafe certification a plus (which will be offered after the employee is hired).
