Job summary

Aventura at Assumption Village is hiring a compassionate Dietary Aide to support residents with nutritious meals and safe dining experiences. You will assist with meal prep, food service, and maintaining a clean dining area.

In this role, you will work with a caring team in a healthcare setting, follow food safety guidelines, and help ensure residents receive quality service and fresh meals daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Must work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect residents' rights.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
• Set up and maintain a clean and efficient dining environment, including tables, chairs, and serving areas.
• Assist with serving meals, including carrying trays, serving food, and replenishing utensils and supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of food inventory, waste, and leftovers.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to prepare special diets and meals for residents with specific needs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure exceptional service and care.
