Job summary

Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation Nursing in Beacon, NY is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our caring team. This full-time position supports patient meals, tray setup, and sanitation in a 160-bed skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include handling food per sanitation policies, delivering meals, preparing snacks and nutritional supplements, and maintaining clean work areas while upholding patient confidentiality and quality care standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess a genuine and caring attitude towards seniors.
• Able to lift 25-50 pounds.
• Must abide by NYS vaccine mandate.

• Handle food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures.
• Observe proper food handling techniques and set up trays for meals/dining rooms.
• Deliver and retrieve food carts to and from patient areas.
• Prepare snacks and beverages between meals for patients.
• Prepare nutritional supplements and tube feeding products and deliver to patient areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas.
• Perform daily cleaning duties per policies and procedures.
• Assist in serving food and support tray line operations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality of protected health information.

Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation Nursing, a 160-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Beacon, NY, is looking for dynamic Dietary Aides to join our growing team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handles food and equipment according to sanitation policies andprocedures;
• Observes proper food handling techniques. Ensures proper setup of foodfor tray line and/or dining rooms;
• Delivers and retrieves food carts to and from client’sarea
• Sets up trays for meals/works tray line position;
• Processes soiled trays, dishes and utensils from carts through dishwasher;
• Assists in the serving of food;
• Prepares snacks and beverages from between-meal service to patients;
• Prepares nutritional supplements and tube feeding products and delivers to customer areas;
• Prepares nutritional supplements and tube feeding products and delivers to customer areas;
• Washes pots, pans and other equipment as necessary;
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation through entire work areas;
• Performs daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures; Scrubs and mops floors, cleans and sanitizes equipment;
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Food Service Director;
• Maintains the confidentiality of all protected health information whether electronic, written, or oral exposed to either during the course of assigned duties or as a result of an incidental disclosure;
• Participates in all in-service activities;
