Job summary

Forest Hills Care & Rehab in Tulsa, OK seeks a dedicated Dietary Aide to support our resident meals and dietary services. You will prepare food trays, assist with special diets, and maintain sanitary kitchen and dining areas in a compassionate, patient-focused environment.

The role offers a full-time schedule with benefits, tuition reimbursement, PTO after 30 days, holidays with premium pay, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • 1 year of experience is preferred.
  • Must maintain a working email address and phone number.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets.
  • Prepare and deliver items as requested by resident care units or residents.
  • Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
  • Prepare special diet foods as necessary.
  • Deliver food carts to patient care units and return carts to kitchen on schedule.
  • Load and oversee dishwashers and log wash/rinse temperatures.
  • Wash specified items by hand (pots, pans, knives).
  • Dispose of trash and garbage properly.
  • Place clean dishes and utensils away and keep areas tidy.
  • Mop floors as scheduled and as needed.
  • Clean walk-in refrigerators and storage areas; log temperatures daily.

Essential Functions of Dietary Aide:


  • Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets.

  • Prepare and deliver items as requested by resident care units or residents.

  • Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, and organized manner.

  • Prepare special diet foods as necessary.

  • Deliver food carts to patient care units. Return carts to kitchen at designated times.

  • Load and oversee dishwashers and log and record wash/rinse temperatures.

  • Wash specified items by hand. Example – Pots, pans, knives.

  • Dispose of trash and garbage in appropriate manner.

  • Put clean dishes and utensils away

  • Mop floors as scheduled and as necessary.

  • Clean walk-in refrigerators and storage areas. Maintain dry storage areas by logging temperatures daily and handling the unpacking, dating, and rotating of food and non-food supplies.

  • Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and other nourishments.

  • Performs special cleaning duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor

  • Maintain good working relationship within the department and with other departments.

  • Treat residents and guest with respect and dignity.

  • Always observe infection prevention and control practices.

  • Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.

  • Perform all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.

  • Perform other task and duties as assigned.


Qualifications of Dietary Aide:


  • High School Diploma or general equivalency is preferred

  • 1 year of experience is preferred

  • Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.

  • Ability to read, write and speak the English Language
