Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a dietary aide in lieu of education will be considered.
• Six months of previous food service experience preferred.
• Previous healthcare food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivering trays and cleaning up in kitchen and dining room.
• Inspecting dietary supplies for freshness and accuracy.

Horizon Medical Center of McKinney is an innovative, state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered healthcare services to our community. As a brand-new in-patient rehab hospital we are committed to setting new standards in patient care and rehabilitation. We value compassion, excellence, and teamwork, and we are looking for an experienced Dietary Aides to join our team. This position can be either full-time or part-time.

Job Responsibilities

The Dietary Aide performs a variety of duties necessary for the operation of the food service department. Responsibilities include preparing food items and assembling prepared foods for patient trays, tray line assembly and delivering trays. Also responsible for clean-up in kitchen and dining room, including dish washing. May accept delivery of dietary supplies including inspection of products to insure freshness and accuracy of delivery. Also assists in the rotation of food stores and monitors food expiration dates.
