Job summary

Alliance Health at Maples is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents in a non-profit skilled nursing facility in Wrentham, MA. You will deliver dishes, maintain sanitary cooking and dining areas, and follow safety standards. Opportunities for growth exist in the culinary/food service field.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to cleanliness, and adherence to instructions while providing high-quality food service to residents.

Qualifications

• Must be COVID-19 fully vaccinated including booster shot.
• Willing to train those with no prior dietary aide experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under supervision of a dietary manager or cook.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses, etc.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage.
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Assist in tracking expenses and menu planning.
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.

Dietary Aide

Alliance Health at Maples is a non‑profit skilled nursing facility located in Wrentham, MA.

We are looking for a Dietary Aide to assist in the preparation and serving of high quality and nutritious meals for residents in our facility. You will deliver dishes and ensure good sanitary condition in cooking and dining premises. A Dietary Aide must be capable to perform food service duties and follow instructions while adhering to all safety and health standards. They must be competent and conscientious with a customer‑oriented approach. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards. Opportunities for growth for students or those looking to enter the culinary/food service/nutrition & dietetics industry!

Responsibilities

Skills

• Proven experience as a dietary aide (will train if no experience!)
• Further experience in customer service will be appreciated.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions.
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware, and cooking appliances
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.
