Description

StarCare Specialty Health System (StarCare) is seeking a full-time Dietary Aide to join its outstanding Food Services team at Sunrise Canyon Hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing a variety of foods and beverages (under the guidance of a licensed dietician) in a healthcare facility kitchen.

Essential Duties:

• Food and beverage preparation
• Serving meals, ensuring correct portions and requests for second helpings
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen, equipment, pans, dishes, utensils, etc.
• Assisting with maintaining readiness for on-site inspections
• Completing all required documentation
• Completing and maintaining required training
• Assisting with special projects and assignments as needed or requested

Schedule:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with the following shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 5:30am-5:30pm, and Wednesday 5:30am-11:00am, with flexibility to meet the needs of the program and department.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent with one year of full-time experience in food service in a healthcare or commercial setting.

Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in operating standard office equipment and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and dietary modification techniques
• Ability to analyze problems, organize tasks, follow instructions, and maintain effective relationships

Additional Requirements:

• Pass pre-hire drug screening and background check
• Valid Texas driver’s license, auto insurance, and insurability
