Description

StarCare Specialty Health System (StarCare) is seeking a full-time Dietary Aide to join its Food Services team at Sunrise Canyon Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Preparing a variety of foods and beverages under the guidance of a licensed dietician in a healthcare facility kitchen.

Essential Duties

• Food and beverage preparation
• Serving meals and handling requests for second helpings
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen, equipment, pans, dishes, and utensils
• Assisting with maintaining readiness for inspections
• Completing documentation and required training
• Supporting special projects or assignments as needed

Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with shifts on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday from 5:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Wednesday from 5:30 am to 11:00 am, with flexibility to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and one year of food service experience in healthcare or commercial settings.

Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency with office equipment and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and diet modification techniques
• Ability to operate kitchen appliances and equipment
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective reading, arithmetic, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships and adhere to policies

Additional Requirements

• Passing a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check
• Valid Texas driver’s license, liability insurance, and insurability under the agency’s insurance
